In The Paws Of StarClan

"In the Paws of StarClan, we are one, united - Ghost."

Yowls and caterwauls filled the forest, as cats of every Clan fell to the claws of rogues. The Clans fought valiantly, but the majority of their ranks were killed. Rogues ran rampant across the territories, eventually drifting together in a group for mutual benefit. Warriors who survived the battle and forsook the Warrior Code joined with the group as well, and they became known as the StarCrushers.

Those cats still loyal to ThunderClan came together under rogue-obsessed Stormstar to form StormClan, those loyal to RiverClan gathered to gentle Storystar as RainClan, WindClan cats rallied around cunning Sorrowstar under the banner of GustClan, and the few remaining ShadowClan cats stood firm behind quiet Echostar as HiddenClan.

Tragedy struck the newly formed Clans in the form of several deaths and weakness. Stormstar of StormClan died at the claws of a rogue and was succeeded by the malevolent Oakstar. GustClan mourned the loss of Sorrowstar to disease. Storystar of RainClan perished attempting to rescue a drowning kit. HiddenClan was dismayed to find that absent-minded Echostar was far more interested in the heavens and StarClan than leading the Clan.

After Echostar was killed by a fox, his chosen deputy, now Froststar, proved to be a ruthless tyrant. StormClan's leadership fell to Deadstar, and Guststar became GustClan leader. One of the cats who abandoned GustClan, the demoted deputy Shatteredflower, gathered the StarCrushers in her vengance-thirsty paws and reminded them of their former aim. They fell in with the embittered Shatteredstar, and so her crusade for revenge on the deceased Sorrowstar's Clan and the others began.

Unsettled by the new, vengeful leader, StarClan scrambled to send a message to the Clans. Only one Clan, GustClan, had a medicine cat at the time. Healingwaters received the prophecy.

'Two stars will collide
blood and fur will fly
shattered lies, and frigid deception will be their glue
until the forest is doused in shadow.'

The prophecy has been spoken. Will the Clans heed StarClan's warning and prevail, or ignore it and fall?
